A senior royal official told the BBC: “I honestly don’t see any difference in the King. Medicine has made incredible advances, and he is following the doctors’ advice: to live as normal a life as possible.”

In March 2025, King Charles was admitted to the London Clinic for follow-up care due to temporary side effects from his cancer treatment. While no specific details about his condition were shared, Buckingham Palace confirmed that he is making a good recovery. “It’s just a small bump in the road,” a royal source said at the time.

The visit to Canada was not just a diplomatic event, but a testament to King Charles’s unbreakable spirit. In his speech to the Canadian Parliament, he skillfully handled his role as head of state, emphasizing the alliance between the United Kingdom and Canada, amid US President Donald Trump’s controversial remarks about the possibility of Canada becoming the “51st state.”

Ailsa Anderson, Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary, commented: “Her speech was a masterclass in diplomacy. It could have gone off track, but she handled it brilliantly.”

“He has dealt with his illness in a very humane way,” the royal advisor shared. “His interactions with the public show an approachable and sincere king, who at the same time maintains the traditional qualities of the monarchy.”

The trip to Canada not only reaffirmed King Charles’s role, but also sent a powerful message: cancer cannot prevent him from fulfilling his duties. “The Carolingian era is taking shape, representing a blend of tradition and modernity,” the advisor added.
