HOT: Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin suddenly revealed a series of secret strategies that helped the team defeat the New England Patriots, creating an impressive victory that excited fans.

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was pleased after his team picked up a win Sunday over the New England Patriots. Pittsburgh defeated the Patriots, 21-14. The Steelers forced four lost fumbles in the game, which made the difference.

Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson was a big culprit of the fumbles. He lost the ball multiple times, including in the red zone. Tomlin says that it was part of the game plan to get the ball away from Stevenson.

“We identify opportunities, and certainly he had some fumble issues last year,” Tomlin said of the Patriots rusher, per the Boston Herald. “So it was an agenda item for us.”

The Patriots had five turnovers, as Drake Maye also threw an interception in the contest. The Patriots are now 1-2, in Mike Vrabel’s first season as head coach.

Pittsburgh improves to 2-1 on the campaign, following the win.

Pittsburgh’s defense carried them to the win over New England. The Steelers struggled to stop the Patriots at times, but the team never broke. New England managed just 14 points despite posting 369 total yards.

While the defense did enough to get the win, Pittsburgh struggled on offense. Pittsburgh managed just 203 total yards. The good news is that Aaron Rodgers passed Brett Favre on the NFL’s all-time passing touchdown list. The bad news is Rodgers passed for just 139 yards, and two touchdowns with an interception.

“There’s been a lot of guys involved in that, including the guys blocking, the guys calling the plays. Every now and then, I made some special throws that led to touchdowns, but I’ve been playing for a long time,” Rodgers said about passing Favre, per ESPN.

Pittsburgh must move the ball better in the weeks ahead, if the team is to make a postseason run. Steelers fans are expecting big things from this team this season. The squad added Rodgers in the offseason, as well as several other players including DK Metcalf and Jalen Ramsey. Metcalf caught one of Rodgers’ touchdown throws Sunday.

The Steelers host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
