NFL Week 4 Breaking News: Cowboys have a great chance to beat Packers after latest updates make impossible scenario now a reality.

The latest Dallas Cowboys’ injury report is in heading into Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton (80) makes a catch against Dallas Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland (26) in the first quarter for the 2024 NFC wild card game at AT&T Stadium.

If the Dallas Cowboys beat the Green Bay Packers next Sunday night, it will be one of the biggest surprises of Week 4. The Cowboys are one of the largest underdogs of the slate and for good reason. They’ll be down CeeDee Lamb and two starting offensive linemen. Not to mention, the defensive struggles put on film three weeks into the season are enough to lose the respect of oddsmakers.

However, the latest news surrounding the Cowboys vs. Packers matchup makes an upset win look possible. Unlikely? A longshot? Maybe. But in this league, getting All-Pro players back from injury helps a lot. And based on Thursday’s injury report, cornerback DaRon Bland is trending to return for Sunday Night Football.

Bland and Trevon Diggs were full participants in practice, positioning them to carry no game designation on Friday, though we’ll have to wait for that.

Getting Bland back is huge for a struggling secondary and now the question is where will he line up? The Cowboys played him in the slot early in the season given Kaiir Elam’s surprising training camp, but the latter hasn’t held up through three games. Bland would be an upgrade outside and backup nickel Reddy Steward looked the part filling in for Bland.

Clowney is more difficult to figure out as he’s not injured but his interactions with media suggest he’s set to make his Cowboys debut this weekend. Clowney missed last week after signing with Dallas as a free agent.

“In terms of Bland and Clowney, we’re working with those guys today,” Eberflus told reporters before practice. “We’ll see where they are. They look so good so far this week, but really no promises either way on those guys. We’ll see and evaluate for the next couple days.”

Tyler Booker and Lamb were non-participants as both nurse ankle injuries. Reports early in the week indicated they’d miss multiple weeks and are still Injured Reserve candidates. The Packers had a long list of injured players themselves, including RT Zack Tom, guard Aaron Banks, and OT Anthony Belton as non-participants. Eight others were limited participants, including DE Micah Parsons, TE Tucker Kraft, and RB Josh Jacobs.
