The Kansas City Chiefs have made a last-minute addition to the injury report ahead of their matchup against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.

Starting left tackle Josh Simmons is now questionable to play. This is not injury related, however, as the team has listed him under “Not Injury Related – Personal.”

Bizarrely, this is the second straight week this has happened to Simmons. Just minutes before kickoff against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, he was added to the injury report due to an illness. Simmons ending up playing in the game, and performed very well. There are no details currently available as to what Simmons’ personal reasons are for potentially missing tonight’s game against Detroit.

If Simmons cannot play, swing tackle Jaylon Moore will get the start in place of him. Moore has subbed in a bit for Simmons and has checked in as an extra offensive lineman at times this season, but has only played 20 snaps overall.

The Chiefs signed Moore to a two-year contract during the offseason. He spend the first four years of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, mostly as All-Pro LT Trent Williams’ backup. Moore started 12 games for the 49ers, with five of them coming last season.
