Veteran wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown left the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp practice session on Tuesday, July 29, due to a lower-body injury.
Though Brown’s exact status is still unclear, he was a non-participant in Kansas City’s most recent practice session, which could be a bad sign for the Chiefs ahead of their preseason exhibition against the Arizona Cardinals on August 9.
Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown injury update
During his comments to the media after practice on August 1, head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Brown was held out of Kansas City’s latest workouts.
A report from Chiefs Senior Team Reporter Matt McMullen indicated that Brown is dealing with an ankle injury.
How long will Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown be out?
It is unclear how much time Brown will need to miss due to this injury — or indeed if he will need to miss any time at all. Should he continue to miss practice, Brown’s status for the Chiefs’ preseason debut will almost certainly be called into question.
Chiefs WR depth chart
If Brown needs to miss time due to his injury, the Chiefs may opt to give Tyquan Thornton, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jaylen Royals, and Nikko Remigio more snaps during training camp and the preseason.
