Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has made history during his eight-year NFL career, and attempted to add an odd accomplishment to his list of achievements after practice ended at training camp this week.

A new ‘QB challenge’ — in which passers try to make difficult throws into training nets — has appeared on the screens of social media users during the preseason. The trendy diversion officially found its way onto Kansas City’s sidelines and was embraced by Mahomes, with one diabolical caveat.

Never one to shy away from an impressive feat, the Chiefs’ signal caller collaborated with his coaches and teammates to attempt the ‘QB challenge’ while wearing a blindfold.

While Mahomes and his compatriots were unable to finish their elaborate version of the ‘QB challenge,’ their attempts were laudable, even though nobody came particularly close to accomplishing the task at hand.

Fans should expect Mahomes to be much more accurate with his passes if he is called on to throw the ball during Kansas City’s preseason exhibition against the Arizona Cardinals on August 9.
