BREAKING: Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers makes a splash by mocking Bears fans — as his Week 12 status remains up in the air and sends shockwaves across the league.

The status of Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers for Week 12’s showdown against the Chicago Bears is still up in the air.

The future Pro Football Hall of Famer suffered a fracture in his left wrist in last Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and also did not practice on Wednesday. Many have been waiting for this matchup between Rodgers and a familiar opponent, as Rodgers is known to have won a ton of games in his career versus Chicago, especially during his time in the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers.

On Wednesday, Rodgers was asked if there was some extra incentive for him to make a push and play the Bears at Soldier Field.

“There’s incentive for every opponent,” Rodgers said while talking to reporters (h/t Brooke Pryor of ESPN). “But I have enjoyed many a Sunday and Monday and Thursday in that city. It’s a great sports town, phenomenal sports fans, and great place to play.”

The 41-year-old Rodgers was then asked whether he enjoys the perception that he’s a Bears villain.

“I’d rather not be,” the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player said. “I mean, I’m not in Green Bay anymore. I feel like we can let bygones be bygones. Maybe. I can. I guess.”

This could be the final chance in his legendary career that Rodgers would be sharing the field with the Bears, who have been victimized numerous times before. In his career, Rodgers has a 24-5 record versus Chicago.

If Rodgers gets ultimately ruled out for Week 12, the Steelers will go with backup Mason Rudolph, who finished the Cincinnati game after Rodgers left. Rodgers went 9-for-15 for 116 passing yards and a touchdown against the Bengals, while Rudolph passed for 127 yards and a touchdown on a 12-of-16 pass completions.
