There was a lot of expectation for Blue entering this season, but it wasn’t realized in the early going.The fifth-round rookie from Texas was inactive for each of the season’s first four weeks.

He’ll finally play in Week 5. With Miles Sanders out injured, Blue will be RB2 in Dallas behind Javonte Williams.

The Cowboys made Blue a healthy scratch each of the first four weeks of the year.

His cause wasn’t helped by an ankle injury in the preseason that limited his ability to get on the field, but by the season’s opening game, Blue was healthy.

The Cowboys had just opted to go with their two veteran RBs, Williams and Sanders.

Unlike most teams, Dallas only kept those two backs active on gameday rather than have a third (although they did also have fullback Hunter Luepke active).

With Sanders out, the Cowboys really had no choice but to activate Blue.

Now he’ll get a chance to show off his epic speed.

Certainly keep your eyes on Blue if he gets in the game. He can hit a home run on any touch.
