While the Kansas City Chiefs’ reign of dominance in the Patrick Mahomes era has been a source of joy for fans in Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas, many NFL fanatics around the country are growing tired of the AFC champions.
Just as it did for the New England Patriots in the 2000s and 2010s, Chiefs fatigue is beginning to set in not just for opposing fans, but also high-profile members of the media.
On Thursday, FS1’s Colin Cowherd spoke about Kansas City’s upcoming season on his show The Herd and issued a bizarre statement about the trajectory of Mahomes and the Chiefs ahead of the team’s preseason exhibition against the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, August 9.

Cowherd is known for his hot takes and outlandish opinions, so fans should certainly take his words with a grain of salt.
Whether or not Kansas City’s dynasty is truly coming to an end remains to be seen, but if the videos coming out of Chiefs training camp are any indication, the reigning AFC champions have more wind in their sails than Cowherd thinks.
