In a recent interview with Extra shared to X, Adam Sandler reveals why he didn’t ask Taylor Swift to be in his highly anticipated sequel, “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“Was there any talk of getting Taylor in?” the interviewer asked Sandler.

“We didn’t want to bother Taylor,” he joked. “We just let Taylor entertain the world like she does. I listened to ‘All Too Well’ three times in a row today with my kid, and she’s done a lot for our planet, so we love her.

“[My daughters] love Taylor, I love Taylor.”

The comedian added that they wrote a role for Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend, into the movie, and after he had agreed to partake, Sandler’s daughters and wife were “very happy.”

“Everybody loves him,” the comedian said.

Alexander Skarsgård has finally addressed the longtime rumor that Taylor Swift’s iconic song “Wildest Dreams” is about him.

During his appearance Monday on “Parenthood” actor Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, the host joked that he had always told his daughters that the ballad was about him.

Shepard confessed that it was only as he prepped to interview Skarsgård that he discovered the “Big Little Lies” star was assumed to be Swift’s muse for the hit.

“I read that the song’s about you — I have to kill you, ” Shepard, 50, joked. “You can’t exist because I’ve told my children that song’s about [me].”

Skarsgård admitted he was scared to either confirm or deny that the airy, romantic “Wildest Dreams” is about him because the “power of the Swifties is so strong,” but he did lean into the comedic actor’s bit.

“Well, I’m going to be honest, I wrote the lyrics to that song, so, and sent it to Taylor,” the “True Blood” alum teased. ” ‘Taylor, here’s what you should say.’ ”

Taylor Swift fans have theorized for years that the 2014 love song is about Skarsgård because of the music video, which tells the story of an affair between two movie costars. Swift and Skarsgård starred in the film “The Giver” together earlier that year.

Many think it’s no coincidence that both the music video and the movie were filmed in South Africa. And their theory is bolstered by the fact that she sings about sneaking around with a “tall” and “handsome” individual.

But there’s more: Fans have pointed out that the actor in the video looks a LOT like Skarsgård, plus the songwriter chose to have dark hair for the video — just like her character, Rosemary, in “The Giver,” based on Lois Lowry’s dystopian YA novel.

Alas, the Emmy-winning actor did not end up explicitly confirming on “Armchair Expert” that the song is about him, so Swifties will surely continue to fantasize that a fleeting affair took place behind the scenes.

Every day since Friday, Taylor Swift’s official social media team has kept fans on the edge of their seats with an album-themed “countdown,” and Swifties are getting antsier by the hour.

While none can be sure what might come at the end of the tribute posts, fans are speculating (and dreading) the possibilities.

“Taylor Alison Swift, this better not be a merch drop countdown I STG [swear to God],” wrote one commenter on today’s “1989” homage that falls right in line with the previous posts: one each day for a Swift album, in chronological order by their release dates, starting with her self-titled 2006 country album.

“WELCOME HOME: the documentary of her getting her masters back?!?!?!” asked another.

“I don’t know what’s going on but I’m clowning anyway,” joked a third.

Travis Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, gushed over Taylor Swift and the “surreal” experience of having her around his family.

“It borders on the surreal,” the patriarch told the Daily Mail on July 22. “There’s no ifs, ands or buts about that … it’s pretty crazy when you stop and think about it.”

“She is a very special person. One of the most giving and caring people I’ve ever met.”

Ed has famously been seen with Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games since she started dating Travis in 2023.

During an episode on Australia’s “Today” show in Feburary, Ed shared he believed the tight end and the pop star would be in a “good period” of their lives following the 2024-25 NFL season.

“Without the NFL season, without the Eras Tour, [it will be] just them alone really connecting more,” he said.
