Recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers got back into the win column with an impressive blowout home victory over the Indianapolis Colts. It was a strong day for Aaron Rodgers and company, but particularly for the defense, which forced the red-hot Indianapolis offense into several turnovers on the afternoon.

Before the game, there was some concern as to whether or not Rodgres would be able to give it a go after he was seen grimacing and pointing at his hand during warmups, but he ended up going out and producing well, and on monday, the team made a move to get him another weapon to look for down the field, and a familiar face at that.

“Marquez Valdes-Scantling is now signing with the Steelers, per source. He’s in Pittsburgh now,” reported Jeremy Fowler of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.

Valdes-Scantling played with Rodgers from 2018-2021 after being selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the draft. He went on to win two Super Bowls as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, and now will hope to add to what has been an inconsistent but still talented Pittsburgh wide receiving core this year.

Overall, things are looking up for the Steelers after their impressive win against the Colts. Prior to that, Pittsburgh had been in serious danger of letting their division lead over the Baltimore Ravens begin to slip following their recent home loss against the Green Bay Packers, but any bad taste leftover from that game seems to now be firmly in the rearview mirror.

With Valdes-Scantling now on the team, Rodgers and the offense will look to take another step forward and continue to give the Steelers multiple ways they can win games.

The Steelers will next take the field on Sunday evening on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers.
